    Now it begins. It is a month or more of activity. Thanksgiving dinners are Tuesday and Wednesday. Missionaries of various stripes arrive the 20th. Then there is the actual Thanksgiving day quickly followed by the days of Advent and preparations for Christmas. There will be an Advent study, beautiful music, children laughing, a longest night service. Christmas sweeps by followed by Epiphany, Reaffirmation of Baptism, and the Wesleyan Covenant Service. Suddenly it is the middle of January, and we wonder if we remembered to slow down long enough to truly worship.

 

    As you make plans to eat turkey and then shop the malls and deck the halls, add Old Mission to your calendars. You are invited to come here and let your heart be revived as well as your spirit.
