This position is primarily responsible for developing new Java/web
solutions to support the organ transplant community.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for:
Design and develop programs as part of a development team.
Unit test all code prior to moving to a test environment.
Resolve any code issues reported from Support, QA or clients quickly
and efficiently.
Responsible for documenting code changes and effects to system
functionality.
Provide technical feedback and assistance to other department team
members.
Deliver professional and courteous client responses (both written and
verbal) to software questions and/or issues that may arise regarding
HKS software
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Management
Systems
5-7 years work experience in software development and testing
5-7 years experience in web development using Java
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
Strong SQL programming experience
Experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server or other RDBM Systems
Experience with: Apache Tomcat, Spring, Hibernate, JavaScript, Python,
XML
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
including effective presentation skills
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, team player with the ability to work as
part of a team and on individual assignments
Demonstrated skills in analysis, organization, adapting solutions to
complex business situations, problem solving, leadership, team
building, negotiation, and implementing large scale projects
