15 Java Openings in Omaha with Multiple Clients

Hi everyone!

TEKsystems has multiple clients in Omaha with multiple java needs.
These needs vary from client to client but we currently have a need
for 15 java developers. 12 of the 15 are targeting Senior Java
developers. Please see below for the position break downs and do not

10 of our positions are 6 month contract positions with a government
integrator that we work with. 6 month contracts with the government
usually turn into 12 months contracts which usually extend beyod that
which sometimes go perm (all if the consultant would like to stay with
it). These positions are all innovative and all new app dev. They
are preparing for a re-bid and need really put their best foot forward
with a very functional and complete product.

Position Description:
Design and develop software in a JEE environment. Responsibilities
require the ability to recognize software problems, develop creative
solutions for simple to complex tasks, and to manage multiple tasks
and apply corrective actions within a fast paced environment.
Applicant should have good enterprise application/development/
architecture skills including knowledge of model driven development,
common presentation frameworks, proper layering/separation of
responsibility techniques. Applicant should also have a thorough
understanding of software development lifecycle. The candidate must
possess good written and verbal communication skills and be responsive
to customer needs and expectations. No clearance is required,
although they should be able to obtain a Secret clearance (which is
paid for by the government and is approx. $10,000)

Specific Skills we are looking for:
• Java EE SW development experience. Good understanding of Java EE
design patterns and Java EE best practices.
• Experience with Spring, Hibernate, JDBC, Java Server Pages, and
Flash.
• Experience developing SOA based applications including Web Services
engines (e.g. Apache Axis).
• Experience with Application Servers (e.g. Oracle Weblogic, Tomcat).
• Experience with rich presentation layer, strong comprehension of UI,
JavaScript/JQuery, Eclipse, Maven 2, JUnit. S
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle processes,
with emphasis on agile development.
• Experience with MagicDraw, Crucible, Fisheye, Subversion, JIRA.
• Experience with Oracle Service Bus.


The other Senior positions are working with a commercial client of
ours in Omaha. This is a 6-12 month contract.
Skills:
o Java/J2EE analyst able to help in design and construction of a java
based web services / JSP / Javascript / AJAX powered application
o JSP / J2EE experience
o WebSphere / IBM RAD experience
o Javascript coding experience
o Java application security experience / interfacing with Microsoft
Active Directory
o AJAX application experience
o Web services experience
o Web services security experience
o Oracle Database
o EMC xPression / Informatica Power Center experience would be
beneficial but not necessary

The final mid level position are 6-24 month contracts with another
financial client of ours. They are looking for mid-senior level
developers with solid core java skills with J2EE and J2SE. It is a
mix of a little front end and UI work as well as backend development
work supporting and developing a global application. This group also
has opportunities to get into different technologies within the Java
realm.
