Basic Description
The Java/J2EE Software Developer will be responsible for developing
highly-advanced, web-based business applications and portals for our
client partners. Developer will work with client partners and product
management to design product specifications, delivery timelines and
finished application. The ideal candidate will possess a solid
foundation in Java, J2EE applications and preferably Enterprise Java
Beans.
Responsibilities include:
Participate in the development and support of both commercial and
internal business applications
Lead the development of multiple projects
Create and maintain high quality code documentation
Conduct research on emerging technologies and determine how they could
be applied to current initiatives
Requirements:
3+ years experience with Java programming language and experience
working with Enterprise Java Beans, Java Servlets, and Java Server
Pages
1+ year Linux experience
1+ year Tomcat experience
3+ years MySQL database experience
Excellent organizational skills
Able to work in a team environment, help create realistic project
timelines, and meet deadlines
Possess strong problem solving skills
Demonstrated track record of successful system and project
implementations
Preferences:
Web services (SOAP, CXF or AXIS2)
XHTML/CSS, JavaScript (preferably frameworks such as Scriptaculous or
JQuery)
Familiarity with JasperReports/Crystal Reports, Apache, Perl
Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP)
