Knowledge As Power is hosting it's 2nd
Open Gov West conference on May 13th & 14th, in Portland, Oregon. It's our fourth large open government event in just over a year, with about 300 people from across the western US and Canada meeting to discuss open gov practices, policy, technology, and civic engagement. OGW is a two day conference, with day one a traditional conference with a lot of panels across five tracks. Day two is an unconference, which includes a cross-government hackathon (details coming this week!). There's travel discounts for flying or taking rail to Portland, low cost conference housing, and, as we've had for every OGW event, a scholarship application process for those whose organizations or governments can't support their travel.
You can find out more about the conference at
OpenGovWest.org and our $10 off promo code is 2daysinMay, good through April 10th. You'll find
speaking opportunities have been extended to the end of this week, too. Hope to see you there!
Best,
