Please support the Crisis Diversion Facility

Dear Chair and Members of the Board,

I'm writing as a Carrboro Town Council member to urge you to continue supporting the Crisis Diversion Facility.

This project has had broad support for more than five years, and the need has only grown. It gives people in behavioral health crisis somewhere to go other than jail or the UNC emergency room.

With state and federal support for behavioral health shrinking, this is exactly the kind of need counties are being left to meet on their own. Waiting won't make it cheaper or less necessary.
