As a former Secretary of State, I can tell you that one of the most important parts of the job is making sure people have every chance to cast their ballots. Unfortunately, Ohio¹s current Secretary of State doesn¹t seem to agree.
In the past few years Ohio¹s legislature, together with the Secretary of State, have cut early voting hours and limited access to the polls. That¹s not my idea of ³protecting the right to vote.²
When your Secretary of State starts restricting the very rights they¹re supposed to protect, it¹s time for a new one -- and that¹s why I¹m writing you today about Nina Turner.
Nina is running to become Ohio¹s next Secretary of State. She¹s got great vision for Ohio and the dedication to see it through. All she needs now is the grassroots power to win.
You¹ve been such a great help to me that I thought you¹d be interested in helping Nina as well. She's got to raise another $8,500 online by her April 24th filing deadline. Contribute $5 or more to help.
The right to vote is fundamental to our democracy. Changes to voting operations should be designed to make it easier for every eligible Ohioan to cast a ballot, not more difficult.
Ohioans deserve to have Nina as the next Secretary of State. But folks -- she can¹t get there without our help.
If you can, give $5 or more to help Nina¹s campaign reach $8,500 by the April 24th deadline.
Thank you for supporting Nina Turner.
