"Help us Help Others"
Would you like to donate to the relief efforts taking place in
Haiti?
Well here's your chance! Trevor and I will be joining the
relief efforts this March through the International Service Learning
organization, who has been asked to send teams of staff and students
to
provide "hands to help" to Haitian children, most of whom are orphans
displaced by the devastating effects of the recent earthquake. We will
be providing basic health services in the make-shift centers of Santo
Domingo (capital city of the Dominican Republic) that are presently
being used to house the young refugees. We will be involved in
specific
areas of need such as wound care, monitoring of vital signs, feeding
those unable to do so themselves, general aid and comfort, and
providing
entertainment and recreational activities!
We will need to raise approximately $4,500 total for the both of
us to
partake in this amazing humanitarian relief effort! We could really
use
your support so that we may have the chance to impact the lives of the
young children suffering in Haiti. Donations are accepted through the
Good Samaritan Missions Non-profit Organization, weblink:

Select the amount you would like to donate and then enter Taylor
Manton
or Trevor Carle into the "Donate to" section followed by our trip
dates:
3/27/2010-4/4/2010 and trip location: DR. Then click Donate! We have
separate accounts and would love it if you could split your donation
between the two of us. We understand that these are difficult times
right now financially, so if you are unable to donate we would really
appreciate it if you could send this message along to friends and
family
that you think might be interested in supporting the cause!
We appreciate all your support!
