Hi Folks,
I've had a group ask me if I know of any good aerospace software
engineers so I thought I would pass this request on to the group.
If you are interested please reach out directly to Kirby McAndrew
(kirby.m...@fsstudio.com) for more details:
Location: Colorado, most likely on site but they are
willing to consider remote for a very strong candidate
Pay Rate: Reach out to Kirby for details
Level: Mid level (3+ years professional experience) and
MUST have experience working in aerospace
Skills:
- Solid knowledge of at
least one high-level language (Python, Java, etc.) and one
compiled language with manual memory management (C/C++, D,
Rust, Swift, etc.). You’ll mostly be using Python
and C/C++.
- A solid grasp of programming concepts (e.g. big O notation, OOP,
design patterns).
- Understanding of and experience with version
control systems
(e.g. Git) and best practices.
- An ability to solve complex problems creatively with
minimal supervision. A desire to learn and understand, not
just “turn the crank.”
A successful
candidate should have some or all of the following:
- A portfolio
of projects, even informal (i.e.
Github/Gitlab/etc.) to show off your skills.
- The ability to communicate with engineers and
customers who have a different background and different
expertise than you.
- Experience with Flight Software or embedded systems experience.
- Experience with AI/ML or autonomous
systems.
- Familiarity with testing practices such as unit tests,
fuzzing, TDD, etc.
- A focus on the end-user experience.
- A deep passion for space exploration.
- Ability to get a security clearance is a plus, but not
required. MUST be a "US Person" to meet ITAR
requirements.
Thanks,
Lloyd
