THE PROGRAM
This year, we have classes for both beginner and advanced musicians and dancers.

Beginner classes:

• Beginning Balkan Dance with Jana Rickel
• Beginner Ensemble with Rian Holmes

New this year!

• Balkan Duet Singing with John Morovich & Talia McGill
• Improvisation patterns & techniques with Cody Simmons

Classes for all levels:

• Bulgarian dance with Konstantin Marinov (first time at Balkanalia!)
• Bulgarian singing with Maria Bebelekova
• Bulgarian ensemble with Petar “Usmifkata” Aleksiev
• Tambura with Stoyan Kostov (first time at Balkanalia!)
• Tupan with Ivan Velev (first time at Balkanalia!)
• Gudulka with Angel Dobrev
• Kaval with Valeri Georgiev
• Dance class with Susan Reagel and Jana Filcich Ashbrook
• Diaphonic singing with Michele Simon
• Modern Ensemble with Mark Levy

Evening party bands:

• The Flying BGs (Bulgarian)
• Kef
• Taman

TUITION
Thank you to all who donated to our fundraiser! We raised 85% of our goal, and as a result only need to raise tuition by a smidgeon from last year. We can also offer a subsidized rate for those who need it. If you missed our fundraiser but still want to help out, the “pay it forward” rate is for you!

Adults

• Full cost: $440 by July 31 / $490 August 1 & later
• Subsidized rate: $360 by July 31 / $390 August 1 & later
• Pay-it-forward: $490 by July 31 / $540 August 1 & later

Children

• Age 6–17: $220 by July 31 / $245 August 1 & later
• Age 5 and under: free

If you can put in a little elbow grease in exchange for half the tuition, we have plenty of positions open on the dish crew, floor crew, coffee crew, bathroom crew, Kafana krew, and registration crew! If you are interested in a work exchange position, please fill out the application form BEFORE registering.

Click the “Register Now” button and fill out the Google form (one form for each person attending camp)
Submit your payment via our Payment page. You can pay via Zeffy (no fees for Balkanalia!), PayPal (some fees for Balkanalia), or send a check by mail.
