Hey Everyone,

I wanted to give you all an update on what the our Fall Sunday Night Small Group is going to look like.

First we plan to kick off our small group night on Sunday Sept. 12th.  It will run from 6-7:30 and child care will be provided.

For several different reason the format is going to be a different during the Fall.  The difference will be that (for the lack of a better termJ) men and women will break up for the first 50 minutes during which time the women will have a bible/book study lead by JoAnn Sikes and the men will finish up the leadership/theology class with Maurice Sikes.  The last 30-40 minutes we will get back together and spend time in prayer for our church and each other.

The main reason for this format change is so that the men can finish up the class that was started last year and it will not dig into Sunday school time, AND it has been requested by some of the women that they would like some time on Sunday nights to fellowship with other women/mothers, since they can’t get to a women’s bible study during the week.

I know this is different from last year and for some it might not be what you need, but as a group I feel we are strong enough, mature enough, and love each enough that we will support this change for the Fall semester.  If you feel that this change will not work for you please don’t feel obligated to come (NO, we will not think less of your commitment to Christ, no matter what Jeff says!) J  We will be looking at this format at Christmas and will readjust accordingly!

As a side note, over the summer Amber and I really missed our Sunday night time with you so we are looking forward to starting this back up and continuing to grow together in His grace!

Please feel free to ask me any questions if anything is unclear.
