Travel Plans:
Airfare, hotel, rental car or other transportation to/from
airport/show, parking for your car while you travel
Plan enough travel time for polygraph and to REST (very important!)
Food:
Money for restaurant food, cook and pack food to bring with you, money
for the stuff you can buy at a grocery store when you get to your
destination (like distilled water), can opener for tuna!
Any other supplements you need to prep
Competition Items:
Pre-judging suit, Evening show suit if different, back-up suit just in
case
Clear heels for figure
Pro-Tan, or other tanning and brush applicator
Bikini Bite
Make-up (trick: pour a bit of foundation (that is one shade darker than
normal due to tanning bed or Pro-Tan tanning) into a saucer and squirt
once with Pro-Tan, mix and apply as usual. No need to pre-tan face as
it will be dark enough within a few hours after applying day of show.)
Jewelry for evening show
Flip-flops to wear so you don't ruin your pedicure or get ankle lines
from socks/sneaks
TWO copies of MUSIC FOR BODYBUILDING ROUTINE (one for the DJ and one
for you and your walkman) (and any props for routine)
Other Clothing:
Loose, baggy, comfortable outfit to wear on plane and to polygraph.
Clothing to wear back home that you don't mind getting a little pro-tan
on.
Other outfit or suit for professional photos (optional)
Appointments week of show:
Manicure or get your acrylics filled
Pedicure
Waxing if you are brave enough (best done 12 hours prior to start of
Pro-Tan)
Hair cut, colored, foiled, buzzed, whatever, done the weekend before
show so it has time to soften out
Pet sitter or neighbor to feed dog/cat/iguana while you are gone
Misc:
Old Towel to stand on for tan and to dry off with after shower at hotel
Old Jammies and socks to sleep in with fake tan
Notebook and pen to take notes after show for judges' critiques
Camera for pics backstage
