Meeting once again on the Third Friday at the Brick Over on Research
Blvd., our January gathering was focused on the State Board of
Education race. Before we heard from District 10 candidate Jeff
Fleece, our other guests introduced themselves.

Gerald Daughterty (www.gerald2012.com) former Precinct 3 county
commissioner (2002-2008) seeking re-election 3rd District Court of
Appeals hopeful.

Madeleine Connor (www.connorforjustice.com) said that as litigator for
the State of Texas, she fights frivolous lawsuits.

Vik Vad is running for Travis County Tax Assessor, bringing his
experience in high technology and real estate.

Our friend Dave Garrison (US Congress 25th district) returned, this
time bringing two more of his volunteer campaign assistants. Dave is
a former Haliburton executive, and professor at Ohio Christian
University. He seeks to bring business and government closer

Ryan Downton is pursuing the opportunity to serve as our District 47
state representative. Ryan (www.ryandownton.com) just returned from
Washington DC where he successfully argued at the US Supreme Court
against the San Antonio redistricting plan.
