All-
This is just a reminder about this month's meeting THIS Friday!
BREAKING NEWS--Pierre will be joined by Jerri Lynn Ward. She
delivers an excellent civics lesson on the behavior of the conqueror
to the conquered and the basic resistance that is needed to maintain
liberty and dignity. This is a "can't miss" tag team presentation!
(If you want to RSVP, you can do so at the ATR facebook page.)
1) This month's meeting will be on Friday, April 29th from 11:45-1
at the Brick Oven off of Research, between Research and Jollyville
Rd, near the Arboretum. (

10710 Research Blvd, Austin -
(512) 345-6181)
The speaker will be ATR member Dr. L. Pierre de Rochemont of
StopAustinScanners.org, on the topic, "
Community Opposition to
Full Body Scanners at ABIA." The TX Legislature is considering
a bill to ban the TSA's use of full body scanners in Texas airports,
and Pierre will be sharing the status of the bill and what we can do
to help.
Bio:
Over the course of his
professional career, Pierre de Rochemont has developed principal
expertise in fabricating advanced materials and characterizing
their electromagnetic properties (radio wave to gamma ray) for the
purpose of developing new device and systems architectures. He has developed compositions of glass that
remain transparent when exposed to Mega-Rad levels of Cobalt-60
gamma ray radiation and he is currently commercializing an
advanced nanotechnology he developed in three U.S. national
laboratories: the Air Force Research Laboratory, Argonne National
Laboratory (a nuclear weapons lab outside Chicago, IL), and the
NASA Langley Research Center.
He is an Austin entrepreneur and
industrialist, the principal inventor on 25 issued and pending
U.S. and global patents. He holds a
B.Sc. in Physics and a Master's in Electrical Engineering, both
from McGill University, Montreal, Canada.
2) The last several months (including this one!) our meeting times
have jumped around a bit, at least partially due to the schedules of
some of our speakers. Starting with the May meeting, we will be
trying to keep the main monthly lunch on the THIRD Friday of the
month.
Until all of Travis County is Conservative and technically literate!
