Hey Everyone and welcome to the group! I hope that this will serve as
a place for us to organize information and form our opposition
strategy to the SFPark plan. Please try and participate as much as you
can and we will prevail! I'll start by organizing links to all of the
pertinent information that I have been collecting over the past couple
of weeks.
We should try as much as possible to coordinate our efforts with the
other affected areas, especially the NE Mission group who are also
quite organized and have a yahoo group that you can find here:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ne_mission/ .
There is a meeting for all neighborhoods to coordinate our efforts and
message on Jan 23 at 7:30 pm at Developing Environments (540 Alabama
St @ Mariposa). This will also serve as an organizing meeting for the
NE Mission groups upcoming meeting mentioned below.
The NE Mission group is having a meeting with Supervisors Kim and
Campos as well as Jay Primus on Mon., Jan. 30th at 6:30pm most likely
at Z-Space at Theater Artaud, 450 Florida St. This is to discuss the
plans for the 17th and Folsom area. I believe we should be pressing
Malia Cohen for a similar meeting.
The next meeting with the SFMTA Board is on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 at
1:00PM at City Hall in room 400 (the same room that the engineering
hearing was in). We need to get as many people there as possible to
show that we are not going to let them steamroll the neighborhood. We
are going to need flyers and people to post them. Rules for posting
