Join us for a vigil of prayer and righteous rage in solidarity with the Water Protectors at Standing Rock. The US Army Corps of Engineers' decision to 'close' unceded indigenous lands to the Water Protectors and forcibly remove them on Dec. 5th to a 'free speech zone' is a verbatim recap of the last 500 years of colonization and genocide and a desperate diversion away from what the Water Protectors are demanding: clean water over private fossil fuel profits.

We stand with Standing Rock, and support the Water Protectors. Join us in a demonstration of prayer and art against the Houston oil and gas profiteers, banks invested in the Dakota Access Pipeline, and the Army Corps of Engineers that are violently risking the lives of the Standing Rock water protectors with their water cannons, tear gas, pepper spray, and forced relocation.

Remember that we are here doubly as guests- both in the cause of joining the Water Protectors, and then at the literal home of a fellow supportive Houstonian. Please only attend if you can uphold how one can both fiercely rebuke injustice while also maintaining the soulful practice the elders at Standing Rock have called for.
