I guess I have handled the loss fairly well. I found out that Radio
Canada International broadcasts about five hours of CBC Radio One
programming to the Eastern United States <
http://www.rcinet.ca>. I try
to watch The National every night via CBC's website
<
http://www.cbc.ca/newscast.html>. I still go to the TV at 10 PM and
change the channel to 366 occasionally but then I remember Current took
over NWI. While the loss of CBC was a bad NWI also brought CCTV, NHK,
ITV, etc. Not to mention their excellent hourly newscast. If we could
get enough people to join this Google Group we may be able to send a
petition to DirecTV and they may carry CBC Newsworld, at least that is
what another webpage said. Also if the CBC knows people are interested
in their programming south of the border they might recreate Newsworld
International. If you know anybody that watched NWI please send them
this URL so we may be able to send a petiton to DirecTV and CBC.
