You can find this phone call request by proceeding to http://www.numbersusa.com/phones?ID= 14062 Today, the House of Representatives will be voting on H.R. 2578, the Conservation and Economic Growth Act.  The bill contains a provision, title 14, which would allow the U.S. Border Patrol to obtain operational control of federal lands along the U.S. - Mexico border.  Currently, the Border Patrol does not have the authority to build fences or roads or patrol on federal lands. Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-Tex.) has an amendment (# 8) that would totally wipe title 14 from the bill.  Please call your U.S. Representative and ask him/her to vote against this amendment.
