This Friday evening from 6 to 9 pm Nevin Kelly Gallery will host a
Holiday Fundraiser to benefit the nonprofit organization Nest. Please

Also in the gallery, this Saturday join us for the Third Annual
Attainable Art Holiday Open House from 4 to 7 pm.

Holiday Market to Benefit Nest
Local DC designers and shopping: could this combination get any
better?

Washington, DC--It just has, because sales from this evening show
benefit Nest. Nest (buildanest.com) is a nonprofit organization that
provides microfinance loans to women in developing countries to begin
or maintain art or craft-based businesses.

Nest will host this shopping event, featuring local designers who will
showcase and sell their unique creations. The event is Friday,
November 30 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Nevin Kelly Gallery,
1517 U Street, NW, with a percentage of all sales donated to Nest.

This event is also being co-sponsored by two other international non-
profit organizations: Global Giving and Women's Edge Coalition.

Local designers will include Smashing Jewels, JLLane and Retta Le
Ritz. Attendees can browse the marketplace of local, handcrafted,
exclusive items, from jewelry to handbags to paper goods, all while
sipping wine and eating specially-prepared hors d'oeurves.

Who: Women (and men) who love to shop for themselves or for holiday
gift-giving and who want to both support local designers and assist
women in developing countries escape poverty.
What: The best local designers in town, wine and appetizers, along
with exclusive discounts, local treats and opportunities to meet
personally with the designers. And best of all, a percentage of each
sale benefits Nest.
