Looks that way to me, except maybe not quite the full sense a dsp, as much as dsp emulated on custom ASIC...

But I may be nit-picking...; )

the big deal is not that this chip jams a lot o one chip, it's that it's a
programmable chip (like the crusoe) so that it can be a digital tuner one day
and analog the next (or the next minute perhaps). that represents more
reduction in components in a tv than just making a denser chip.
