Other possible games : Card Kingdom will be starting a Netrunner league on Sundays.  We'll start trying to do some stuff at Gamma Ray's new Raygun Lounge starting next month.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it to Ernie's games but if anyone wants to get some games in at Seattle, I'm definitely looking to play some Netrunner after work at around 8pm... maybe at Card Kingdom or Third Place Commons?

Us suburbanites had some good games up at Ernie's last night, there are some strong players there.  I think I had 1 win / 2 losses, although I was mentally foggy and got that one win in spite of myself (real-world self-imposed net damage I think).

How did the city-folk pick-up games at Card Kingdom go last night?

I've heard it said about other games (Chess, Go), that you're only as good as your opponents.  The reasoning is that when there's a wide range of strategies available, you get experience playing against the particular strategies that your frequent opponents use.  Then when you play against other strategies, or better players, you're unprepared.  For example, http://www.gamethyme.com/2012/04/youre-only-as-good-as-your-opponents.html

So, if you're looking to boost your game, don't just always go to play with the same people.  It's part of why I created this group, so that people from different playgroups could know where and when to find each other.

I typed a long response but Google seem to have eaten it. 

It went very well. Three new players (to this group), lots of games and good table talk.

We also talked about only being as good as your opponents, and while our inference points were different, our conclusion was the same as yours. Play lots of games against different people. I'm more than happy to discuss that concept at length when I'm sure my words won't disappear into the internet.

Thanks for the games last night!  Got steamrolled but got a better idea of how the game flows and have some ideas for my decks.  If anyone is free this weekend, I'm interested in getting some Netrunner sessions in.

I actually might be down at Card Kingdom later around 8ish learning Mage Wars with my girlfriend, I might be able to play a few games afterwards at around 9:30pm?  I'll have my Netrunner stuff incase.

Myself, I've probably got too much to catch up on to get out for any running this weekend.

Card Kingdom is eventually doing their league night on Sundays, so maybe it's worth trying for this Sunday night?

Finally, Sleepy, on Thursday's I'm at Card Kingdom playing VtES (aka Jyhad).  Sometimes I have a chance to get in a game or two of Netrunner on the side.
