Netflix obtained my Credit Card Details without my permission

I joined Netflix on a months free trial. I never put my credit card details details in and was not asked to do so.  Five weeks later my credit card statement showed Netflix are taking my subscription of £5.99.  I phoned up the contact number online and was told this can never happen.  My points are 1. I am telling the truth and 2. The email address they have is a very old Gmail one which I do not use and have never used.  Seems to me that someone has sold netflix my details as they most certainly were not given by me.  I am not complaining about The Netflix Service which is quite good and not bad value.  What I don't like is the illegal transfer of my Credit card details without my permission
