Job Description:
SUMMARY:
The Network Security Administrator is responsible for technical management, design, support and administration of the Corporate site LAN/WAN networks, telephony and enterprise information security.
Responsibilities include physical and logical configuration and management of networking hardware, cabling, wireless access, iWAN/WAN subsidiary networks, traffic shaping and troubleshooting, performance monitoring and optimization, upgrades, VOIP phone system to network integration, and enterprise security. The Network Security Administrator builds a strategic and comprehensive information security program that defines, develops, maintains and implements policies and processes that enable consistent, effective information security practices which minimize risk and ensure the integrity, confidentiality and availability of information that is owned, controlled and processed within the organization. Ensures information security policies, standards, and procedures are up-to-date.
Required Qualifications:
1. Understanding of the OSI model and IEEE networking methodologies and standards.
2. Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or MIS or comparable experience
3. Minimum 5+ years working in a Network Administrator capacity managing multi-site network
4. Minimum 2-4 years of experience working with managed services vendors
5. Current Cisco CCNA certification
6. Experience with multiple protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, FTP, OSI, SMTP)
7. Working knowledge of Virtual and Physical server configurations
8. Strong understanding of DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, and VPN
9. Good understanding of Security End-Point protection software (Trend OfficeScan, etc.)
10. Knowledge and experience in state and federal information security laws, including but not
limited to HIPAA, including NIST, PCI and all other applicable regulations
11. Experience evaluating state of infrastructure security and recommend improvements
12. Proficiencies with VOIP architectures, COS, QOS, VLAN's, DMZ
13. Experience analysing/evaluating vendor products
14. Strong communication skills and customer focus
15. Ability to work autonomously, respond quickly to production issues, and produce timely
project deliverables
16. Effective cross group negotiation and conflict management skills
Desired Qualifications
1. CISSP or equivalent certification
2. Exposure to various Operating Systems and Disk Storage (Linux, Cisco USC, IBM) a plus
3. Windows Server Administration, Remote Desktop Management
4. Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI)
5. Familiarity with PC/Client/x86 HW/SW, network drivers, and file/print server configurations
6. Experience with various OS versions (2003,2008, 2012), AD, DNS, and DHCP
7. Experience with MS Exchange & Office 365
