I would love to find some decent, simply and clearly read texts for
esl students of all levels. It's much harder to find texts with voice
for lower level learners, especially for people who are not literate
in their own language, yet are coming to terms with learning English,
trying to to hold a pen to write the letters - all of those issues
that make reading difficult.

I am trying to help my students find different ways of reading -
borrowing books with CDs for eg. but it's really on the computer that
I think there is the most potential. There seems to be alot of
material coming out of the US and Canada - but not Australia or New
Zealand for that matter.

This material needs to be free - please, does anyone know of anything
like this for voices that are not US ones (sorry folks)!

Hi nash.becca, I am using this nick name because yours does not appear. For
there is an excellent page aboutenglish.com, and there is another one
esl-lab.com that although it has american accent the excercises are great,
could you try and let me know you opinion.

Regards and Good luck
