Hello beloved CW friends,

I’m emailing to share with you an opportunity for young adults to live in community at Mariandale Center in Ossining, NY (about one hour from NYC).

Hope Volunteers is a post-college service program based in Ossining, NY (one hour commute from NYC). Hope Volunteers serve 15-20 hours a week, working with us at the Center at Mariandale on retreats, college immersions, taking care of the land, and more. This allows participants time to pursue graduate degrees, work remotely, or engage in rest while participating in the program; room and board are covered.

Hope Volunteers is a year-long program that allows community members to learn about the Dominican charism with a focus on these key practices: living in community; valuing the spiritual life, ecological practices and contemplation; gardening and caring for the earth; promoting ecological sustainability, engaging young people on retreat opportunities, and serving the poor.

While flexible, this program would be ideal for anyone who recently graduated college and is pursuing graduate school or is working in the Metro NYC Area, and would like to live in community.

You can find more information on our website:

The deadline to apply is April 30, 2026. The application can be found at the link below. If someone is reviewing the application and interested in the program, but unsure if they fit all the requirements, please do reach out and we can be in conversation.

If you know anyone who may be interested in this program, please pass on my contact information below. I’m happy to be in conversation.

Thanks as always for the work you do each day.

Peace and blessings,

Liam

P.S.

If your in the NY area, take a look at the retreats we are offering as well. Our website is updated frequently with new opportunities. And you can follow us on Instagram @centeratmariandale
