Dear Catholic Workers,

This Sunday, 9 Nov 2025, the second collection at your parish will be for the U.S. Military Archdiocese (AMS). This collection occurs every three years on the Sunday closest to Veterans Day, at every Catholic parish in the U.S., unless a pastor or bishop intervenes. 

If you wish to offer a quiet and prayerful protest at your parish, I invite you to join many other Catholic Workers in our custom of putting a note of dissent into the basket during this second collection. May Jesus Christ strengthen us to repent and submit to the non-violence of the Gospel. 

I have attached a printable sample note written by yours truly and the sample note offered by "Catholics Against Militarism."
