Hi guys,

I just caught a promo for Kim Hill on Saturday morning on the National
Programme and it seems she will have an item on Allan Wilson. For
those who don't know who he was Wikipedia says he "was a pioneer in
the use of molecular approaches to understand evolutionary change and
reconstruct phylogenies. One of the great innovators of science, he
revolutionised the study of human evolution. He was one of the most
controversial figures in post-war biology; his work attracted a great
deal of attention both from within and outside the academic world. He
is the only New Zealander to win the prestigious MacArthur Fellowship
and was short listed for the Nobel Prize when he died at the age of
56. Allan Wilson's scientific achievements were nothing short of
profoundly significant."

For those who don't hear the radio broadcast it is almost certain to
be available on the internet.

Cheers,
Des

Well spotted!  This looks like the documentary that was shown in Auckland last year.
