Astronomy news and research papers for June 2024
Hi folks
There are a range of really interesting news items out this month to have a read of. A new Planet find around a red dwarf star makes for interesting reading and something to keep a watch on. You will find reading about snowball Earth interesting along with a detailed look at Martian gulley’s too.

I allways was of the feeling Venus has as much activty as the earth and I'm not convinced by the global re surfacing event suggest in the past too. We need a mission back.

An interesting read, and does the planet have a Moon?
Gliese 12
Gliese 12 with a mass of 25% that of our Sun could be right at the border line where an Earth like Planet, receiving an earth like steller Flux could hold on to an Earth like atmosphere, Orbiting a red dwarf star any smaller and its very likely an Earth mass or Super Earth type of Planet would lose its atmosphere very quickly. A larger mass Red dwarf star and all the factors for a habitable world look better again. This star appears to be nice and stable, nearby for further study, and the Planet while a bit warmer than Earth looks like a very interesting target for further study.
