Hi all,
I was surprised to see a mourning cloak flying this afternoon. It was in full sun, near the top of a ridge on a west-facing slope in Powder Mills Park, Monroe County. Temp was about 46° F. I believe it is the latest date that I’ve seen a mourning cloak. I was surprised, but shouldn’t be I guess, given how the season continues to extend to later flight times in fall, and earlier ones in spring.
