Can we actually move the testimony to be after worship? I don't know about you guys, but I think it kind of disrupted the flow from meditation to worship. What do you guys think?

Hey guys a (kind of not really) urgent matter:

Oh, good news first - this semester, all the money we have left over from the Fall semester rolls over.

But -

The budget request is due by tomorrow and I outlined the general request based on last year's request. Something to note is that we were denied the $500 for the Christmas banquet last year bc of location complications.

Anyway -

We're allowed to request a maximum of ~$5207.50. We're currently requesting ~$4900. I'm going in to speak with Stephen to get a final word tomorrow about  whether we need to make adjustments to get the our full budget next year, but I just wanted to send you guys a copy of the request to see if any of you had opinions about:

1. cuts/needs in various activities

2. whether we want to add/subtract activities

Since we didn't spend much money last semester, there's a possibility that we lose some of the money, but I'll let you know more on that by tomorrow; we should be able to explain our situation bc or Sandy or whatever.

did we use the 1000 last semester for "weekly religious service"?

are we going to this year?

Veritas forum has $100 under it, shouldn't it be 300?

we didn't do club fair this semester.

since there's a surplus, could we approbate more money for the food portion in the senior banquet?

could we receive the maximum amount of money and just spend it on food every week? like create a precedent where we could all come together and just eat once a week or something, i know AACF does something like this.

Yeah I have the same questions jimmy has.

And I also think we can spend more on food, seems like we don't have food after large group as much as we did in previous years. This may contribute to why it feels harder for a lot of ppl to get closer with ppl in the fellowship, especially freshmen. Even just getting chips and soda for after large group would help let ppl interact and get to know each other.

I think the food's a good idea but we have to keep on mind that we usually only have our room til 9. So maybe that means we set up the food outside? Though I know it can crowded out there. Just something to keep in mind if we do that.

So I've spoken with Stephen & he advised that we start spending money regularly & getting those forms in ASAP. The budget committee starts to meet this Friday & although they won't be involved in the actual allocation of funds (the committee is reelected in April & they'll decide that), they'll comment on our general spending for the Fall.

So should we buy food for tonight and eat it on the 7th floor after large group?

Yeah lets use it up. Also, maybe what we can do is order food for BYOL and invite others outside of RCF to join as well.
