Lobby Committee Conference Call: February 4th, 2008

Report-back from steering committee call (and what we need to do):

Valentine templates will be here soon:
We need to:
1. Decide exactly what we want to do with them (should schools count
them? should everyone send them in at once? etc.)
2. E-mail all campus coordinators with template, letting them know what’s
going on
3. E-mail regional coordinators asking them to follow up with campus
coordinators.

Steering committee wants a lobby day in mid-April.
We need to:
1. Talk to Sweeny and EANY, find out when they think a good time is
2. Figure out what exactly we’re lobbying for
3. Continue compiling databases (Robert/Courtney)
4. Set up meetings once a date is established
5. Decide if we want a rally then

Maybe a lobby day is too much?
We need to:
1. Talk about going to reps offices in districts instead of all the way to
Albany.

NYSSC needs support:
We need to:
1. Follow up with unions (Fil), fishing and farm groups (Courtney),
“grass-tops” (Stephanie) and church groups (Stephanie)
