Hi all,
Saturday January 7th is the AMEC annual meeting and election of officers. We have a nice crowd coming, somewhere over 30 people. If you cannot attend and want to “zoom in” on the meeting portion of the evening, the link is below. We will do our best to make it work from the restaurant and will turn it on at the normal meeting time of 7:30 pm. Remember this takes the place of our regular 2nd-Monday-of-the-month meeting.

We will have just a quick meeting to go over any last details needed before we start ice racing and then have our election of officers. There are still no new nominations unfortunately, but we still have time.
Last week I took a ride to Lake Algonquin and found a really good start on the ice building. There was 7” to 9” of great ice in the back bay with about 2” of snow-ice on top of that. Out on the lake, the ice was a couple inches thinner. I will be checking the ice again near the end of the week, but we will be surprised if the numbers are not worse instead of better with all this warmth and rain. Let’s hope for the best though.
Everything is in place for us to race, all we need is 12” of good ice. Remember you need to be a paid-up AMEC member to race and to vote. Go to Motorsports Reg to renew your membership HERE.
