Hi ice racers,

As you probably figured out, there will be no ice racing this weekend. We checked the ice and the only lake that has any significant ice on it is Lake Algonquin in Wells. There was 8” to 9” of nice ice in the back bay but only 6” of ice out on the main lake and it was getting thinner the further north it was checked.

At this point it will be a while before we race unless it gets super cold fast. The winter has just begun so don’t get discouraged we had a couple of years that we did not get out on the ice until late February so we have lots of time. We may or may not send out an ice report next week. We will keep watching the ice and get you good warning before we are race.
