Hello Runners!

It's been ages since we've shared anything on this email list, so I hope all Northern Vermont Ridge Runners are training and well. I've signed up for the Unplugged Half Marathon in April, which has an in-person option (eek!) if it can happen. Cheers to staying safe, masked up, and healthy here in Vermont. There's been some interesting virtual racing to keep folks motivated, too.

I'm forwarding along an opportunity, below, for coaching. If you're interested, Richard can help point you in the right direction. I'm hopeful our younger athletes can find ways to train, race and learn to love this sport in a time of COVID.

Be well!
Meredith

Hi Meredith,

As discussed this morning my sons Matt and Alex are both freshmen at Craftsbury Academy.  We recently learned that our spring track coach is moving to New Jersey, and we are currently without a head coach.  Our cross country coach has committed to helping out but cannot assume full responsibility for spring track.  We have a very talented group of freshmen and sophomores who just won the VT D3 State Championship this past fall and should be very strong in Track as well if we can find a coach.  I am writing because I know you have a number of former competitive athletes that work at Concept 2, and I was wondering if you know of anyone who might be interested.  It is a paid position, but I do not know the details.  If you know of anyone who might be interested, I could have our Athletic Director, Gabrielle Silva, contact them.  Thanks for your help.

Best Regards,

Richard Califano

PS-- I have a call in to the Athletic Director.  I will send more details as soon as I can but wanted to get this out to you.  I really appreciate your willingness to spread the word.   Thanks again.
