Find out what
you can do to amplify opposition to pipelines and
tankers during the Enbridge public hearings in
Vancouver from Jan. 14th-Feb. 1.
From rallies and speaking events to a strategic canvass blitz and an interactive 25-foot whale sculpture, there's a lot planned and we need everyone on board to make the most of this opportunity. Get the down-low on our strategy and how you can get involved. WHAT: Enbridge Hearings Volunteer Mobilization meeting WHEN: Thurs, Jan. 10. 7PM-9PM WHERE: 163 W Hastings (buzz #350) BRING: Friends! And scissors and safety pins if you want to help make some blue drops (see http://bluedrops.ca/) Despite the flaws in the review process, these hearings present a strategic opportunity to leverage opposition to pipelines and tankers. With governments, opposition parties, the media and Canadians across the country watching closely, it's a key moment to send a clear message that First Nations and communities across BC have already rejected Enbridge's pipelines and tankers. Check out the collaborative art project set to launch at the beginning of the hearings: http://pipeupagainstenbridge.ca/hope -------- This meeting will take place on unceded Coast Salish Territories. -------- Accessibility info: elevator, wide doorways, full wheelchair access. If you have other accessibility needs, please let us know by emailing jolan@forestethicsadvocacy.org and we'll do whatever we can. |
