Hi all!  Joey will be running our walking tour Monday evening.  I've heard great things about her local knowledge of the area (from a labour perspective.)

She has a really sweet offer for whoever amongst your cohort is interested!  Will you let me know and I can pass on interested parties to her?

Thanks!!

Hi Andrea and Jolan

Please find attached the poster for the VDLC fundraising dinner with Jim Stanford as the keynote speaker.  All money raised will support Queen Alexandra Elementary School.

Jim Stanford is the senior economist for the CAW and works out of Toronto. He is a regular commentator on CBC news shows, and is well regarded as an author and speaker.  Jim de-mystifies and popularizes economics, with engaging and humorous presentations. There will also be children from the school music program performing.

It will be a great night for a great cause.  Our intent is to build momentum around the end of the provincial campaign period by giving labour activists strong and credible information on economic alternatives.

As I mentioned on in my previous email, we’ve already had indications that several unions will buy whole tables but donate some tickets back.  I am guessing that we will have about 5 free tickets available to Next Up. Please let me know how much interest you get and we’ll see what we might be able to do.

Thanks

Joey

Hi all

Hope you have a great time with Joey on Monday. She does a fascinating tour that will change the way you see downtown Vancouver.

I also have a free ticket for the Stanford dinner (and possibly 2). I will be attending.
