Hi Folks!

The session, Story-Based Campaigning will take place Tomorrow, March 9, between 10:00 am - 4:00 pm at CityStudio (1800 Spyglass Place).  This weekend we'll be working with Sean Devlin of TruthFool Communications.

Usually this workshop is presented to an organization or community that is actively campaigning.  However, as there are different flavours of activism in our cohort, tomorrow's workshop will be based on the issue of climate justice.  Just bring your well-rested selves, and as usual, please seat your booties in CityStudio by 10:00 am.

Sean's Bio:

Sean Devlin has received formal facilitation training (from a variety of different sources) and direct action trainer training from The Ruckus Society. As a staff member of the Yes Men’s Yes Lab for Creative Activism Sean has experience designing, delivering and facilitating workshops on creative activism and creative action planning for a variety of international organizations, activists, and students.

Thank you for your patience with me--

Lucinda

Friends! I would like to spend time with you all tomorrow night, if possible! I propose we go home after session and rest/eat and then meet back up for drinks or dancing or whatever.

You're all invited to my house (near 12th and Fraser) and then we could go dancing at the Biltmore (Glory Days DJ night, $12 at the door starting 12ish)...or we could keep it lowkey and have snacks & drinks at mine earlier...or I'm open to other ideas if you have 'em.

I miss you and am looking forward to tomorrow.

Love!

- Shea

Yay more cohort fun!

If you're looking for some light bedtime reading, here's a five-minute video from the Environmental Justice Foundation:

...and an article from The Tyee on Environmental Refugees

Both are completely optional

Good night and sleep tight,

Lucinda
