I have received a lot of questions about our Google Group vs our MeetUp Group. If you are receiving this email, you've joined our Google Group. You could visit our Google Group to see this "post" without being a member of it.
I didn't make a MeetUp event about this because it is not a NRVMC event, it is a NAMA event. Keeping our Google Group allows us to communicate about things that aren't MeetUp events.
If you wanted to communicate with our whole club about something, you could reply to the Google Group. You can email the whole Google Group anytime you want! We have always hoped that club members would use it to communicate with each other! There are 493 members of our Google Group, I think 200-300 are valid emails. We have lots of members!
If you wanted to communicate with me, you could reply to
nrvmush...@gmail.com. When you email that administrative gmail, you get an "auto-reply" we set up so that people making new inquiries could help themselves by joining the Google Group and MeetUp Group. The auto-reply also includes a link to our calendar so people can see what we've done and what's to come. The auto-reply states that our gmail is not monitored daily. That doesn't mean it's never monitored. It's just because, though I spend a lot of time answering emails, I can't be expected to answer every email, every day. Hope this clears up some questions and I hope some of you are able to check out the Fungi Film Fest which is at 7PM Central, meaning 8PM OUR time!

Join us to see 20 short films from 9 countries on Friday February 23rd at 7PM Central. Peter McCoy, the Festival Organizer, will join us after the film for a Q&A session.
The Fungi Film Fest is the world's only film festival dedicated to the beauty, weirdness, and human influences of mushrooms, lichens, and micro fungi.
Films are submitted by people like you, with the only requirement for entry being that the film features fungi in some way. Each year brings a different mix of films.
The 2023 Film Fest is offered to all NAMA members for $5 per member. Special Offer: Join NAMA for $25 AND watch the Film Fest.
