Hi there,
I want to invite you to the Kentucky Mushroom Festival, taking place September 18-20 at Rockcastle Riverside in Livingston, Kentucky.
As the new owner of the festival, one of my priorities is to build lasting relationships with organizations whose work strengthens our communities. I would be honored to include your organization in this year's festival in whatever capacity makes the most sense, and I hope this invitation marks the beginning of a long-term partnership.
A little about me: I'm currently completing my PhD in Sustainability and Public Administration and teach Introduction to Sustainability at the University of Louisville. Alongside my academic work, I've spent the past five years organizing festivals and community events. When the opportunity arose to lead the Kentucky Mushroom Festival, I was drawn to its vision of making education accessible through shared experiences, meaningful conversations, and direct engagement with practitioners and organizations.
To me, the Kentucky Mushroom Festival has always represented something larger than mushrooms themselves. Fungi may be the common thread that brings people together, but they also create an opportunity to explore broader conversations about conservation, ecology, sustainable living, and our relationship with the natural world and one another. My hope is that attendees leave not only with new knowledge, but also with lasting connections to the organizations, educators, and community leaders working to steward our region's natural and cultural resources. I believe your organization would make an important contribution to that experience.
