Hello All,

My name is Kerry-Ann McLean and I am a researcher currently enrolled at Capella University in the School of Business and Technology where I am pursuing a PhD in Organization and Management.  I am conducting a research study where the title of my study is Virtual Team Structure: A Phenomenological Study of Perspectives from the Nonprofit Industry.  The study will collect the descriptions and perspectives of virtual leaders of nonprofit or volunteer teams and use the descriptions for the discovery and development of an optimal model for virtual team structures.

To be eligible for the study, you must meet the following criteria:
1.      Individuals over 21 years of age
2.      Has managed a virtual team with more than three members (either leader or team member is geographically dispersed)
3.      Has a minimum of three years virtual leadership experience
4.      Leadership experience must be attained in the nonprofit industry or currently works on a not-for-profit team

If you meet the above criteria and are interested in participating in this research study, please contact the researcher Kerry-Ann McLean by telephone at (321) 276-6058 or by email at kmclean2@capellauniversity.edu.  If you are know anyone else that meets the eligibility criteria I have identified above, please forward this email or my contact information to them.

Your participation includes a pre-interview and a main interview totaling approximately 2 hours.  In the event I have further questions, I may contact you for a follow-up post interview and you can provide your responses by email.  Prior to participating in the research study, I will provide you with an Informed Consent Form where this form will detail the procedures and your responsibilities during the research study.  The form will also include a general overview of my private and confidential nature of the information I will collect from you.  To ensure that this interview does not act as an inconvenience your current schedule, you have the option of scheduling each interview at a time that works best for both of us.  This study will be beneficial to you, science, and society as I am seeking to add to the current literature on this phenomenon.

If you do not meet the above criteria and knows of anyone who does and would be willing to participate in my research study, please forward my information to them.

In addition, you may contact Capella University to verify my affiliation with the University as well as any question or feedback; you may do so at http://www.capella.edu/researchCenter/index.aspx.

Thank you
Kerry-Ann McLean
