Studying through Email and Copy Right Violation

Good Luck with your LCSW Exam Preparation.
At the outset I apologize for the delay in responding to some of your messages about studying through email.
I am always a supporter of coming together and studying together. Our LCSW Study Group, especially our LCSW Skype Study Group has been a great support system for many and more than 45 LCSWs have passed through our LCSW Skype Study Group. When we are proud of all those Social Workers who are committed to coordinate and moderate the groups, we also request everyone to abide and follow Group rules which emphasis on No Copy Right Violation.
Any copy righted materials, not limited materials of exam preparation companies, test banks, sample tests from ASWB, or any information about your actual ASWB Exam shouldn’t be shared through any of the groups.
I have seen some Social Workers have posted, when we meet Social Workers in person to study, we share copies of materials, then why not share through group. The Answer is NO.
I welcome and encourage expressed idea of studying through email, I request you to send emails only to those who study with you. So it would be effective, not to use this Google Group id for Email Study, but to study only with those willing to study through email.
Anything posted on LCSW Study Group on Google Groups is automatically shared with our Linkedin groups and facebook groups. More over Group Admin is not responsible for any discussions posted on the group.
FYI Representatives of Exam Preparation Companies, representatives of ASWB, and BBS are also part of this Google Groups monitoring postings for any copy right violations.

I write this to inform you
about an important announcement on Copy Right
and Intellectual Property Rights. As many of you have seen more than twenty
social workers have passed LCSW Exam through our LCSW Study Groups. However
it was brought to my attention that some Social Workers who took the LCSW
Exam had recalled some Examination Question and discussed with the group
members. As you all know that ASWB has intellectual property right on any
information or questions of ASWB and as per the contractual relationship
between Test Taker and ASWB, the test taker shouldn’t recall or share any
intellectual property righted information of ASWB through any study group.
Discussing any questions or any information from ASWB Exam violates the
intellectual property rights of ASWB. Such reproducing an item from the
LCSW Exam or recollecting an item is a direct violation of ASWB’s
intellectual property rights. As Ethical Social Workers we should respect
and honor copy right and intellectual property rights. Further, any posting
or email posted through one LCSW Study Group is automatically fed to our
other LCSW Study Groups and NPSW networking Groups in Twitter, Linkedin,
google groups, Facebook etc. So I request everyone in our LCSW Study Group
to respect copy rights and not to recall or reproduce or share any exam
question or information of ASWB through the study group.
Requesting
everyone to read, the Study Group Rules and Disclaimer. Everyone
should abide the Study Group policies and aware of Group Disclaimer, if you
like to continue as part of our LCSW Study Group.

the US, and if you are not registered for LCSW exam or not preparing for

knowledge you acknowledge and agree that your posting, including but not
limited to your email message, response, instant message, discussion,
comment etc. will be automatically posted on other LCSW Study Groups
including but not limited to Study Groups in Facebook, LinkedIn, twitter,
Google groups, LCSW Study Group blog and other NPSW networking groups
through automatic feed. Even nonmembers could also access that email
message, instant message, comment, discussion, comment or any such
information posted through this LCSW Study Group, on various Social Media
and we request you to restrain from posting any kind of copy righted
information through any communication medium to the group, including email
message, instant message, comment, response message, discussion etc.

Posting or sharing any discussion or information
violating copy
right, proprietary information, any confidential information, intellectual
property rights in this Study Group is violation of law strictly
prohibited. By joining this Study Group or decide to continue as member of
this Study Group, you agree that you will not email or post or share any
information violating copy right, proprietary information right,
intellectual property right, or share any confidential information to
anyone at any time through this Study Group.

Posting of any copy righted materials, content with
intellectual
property rights, information or exam sample questions from any Social Work
Examination Boards or Exam Preparation Company including but not limited to
ASWB, BBS etc. or any Exam Preparation company is also violation of law and
strictly prohibited.

Study Group members who take professional licensing
exams or take
practice exam, shouldn’t recollect or share or post any questions or any
confidential information from their licensing exam through this Study Group
and such postings are considered as severe violation of law and strictly
prohibited in this Study Group.

Group Admin and Managers are not responsible in any
way for any
such copy right violation by any posting made by any group member.

As Group member, you agree that you will not post
any irrelevant
and inappropriate comments/discussions, or will not make any Personal
attacks on Study Group members.

As a Group member you also agree that you will not

promotional messages for any commercial companies without consultation and
permission from Group Moderators.

Any messages related to Promotions or events need to
be posted
under respective Promotion and Event sections. Promotional messages will be
