Home Décor Items To Be Given To Low-Income Families On January 30!
The Gathering, BlueStone Ministries, and the Community Center of St
Bernard are pleased to announce that they will be distributing a
variety of home décor items, including sofas, rugs, lamps, pillows,
and comforters, to low-income residents on Friday, January 30, 2009.
Anyone who wishes to participate in this free event must be registered
with the Community Center's Mustard Seed Distribution Program, which
serves low-income residents. The Mustard Seed Program requires proof
of residency, proof of identification and proof of income for all
family members in order to complete the enrollment process.
Residents who are not already registered with the Mustard Seed
Program, or those who need to provide additional documentation in
order to complete their enrollment, should contact Mustard Seed
Coordinator Jason Horwitz from 10 AM-5 PM on Monday-Friday. Anyone
whose documentation is not completed by 5 PM on January 29 will not be
able to receive any items at the January 30 giveaway.
The distribution of the home décor items will begin on Friday, January
30, at 10 AM at the Community Center of St Bernard, 1107 LeBeau St ,
Arabi. The event will continue until 2 PM, or until all goods have
been given out. These items will be available on a first-come, first-
served basis, and residents are requested to make their own
transportation arrangements. The Community Center regrets that it will
not be able to provide storage, delivery or loading/unloading
assistance.
