Shooting – 1600 S. White Street – Cleared by Warrant

On Monday, July 12, 2010 at 6:13pm, members of the Sixth District
responded to a shooting in the 1600 block of S. White Street.

Upon arrival, officers learned the victim was transported to
University Hospital by private conveyance. Upon relocating to the
hospital, Detectives learned the victim sustained a single gunshot
wound, and is currently listed in critical condition.

Through their investigations, Sixth District Detectives learned the
subject responsible for the shooting is Damon Lewis, black male, date
of birth 7/29/86. A warrant was issued for the arrest of Lewis.
