Message from 6th District Community Affairs Coordinator

My name is Sergeant Yolanda Jenkins, the Sixth District's Community
Affairs Coordinator Sergeant. Superintendent Serpas recently
instructed all District Commanders to appoint a Community Coordinator
Sergeant for each district. For the past few years, I have been the
Community Liaison Sergeant for the Sixth District, so the only change
in my position will be my title.

As your CoCo Sergeant, my duties will include developing relationships
with residents, community members, clergy, non- profits, cultural
leaders, school administrators, business leaders, etc. I will continue
to focus on Quality of Life issues that you may have as a resident of
the Sixth District. I will be available to meet with you to answer
any of your concerns regarding crime prevention and safety.

If your neighborhood association has sceduled meetings, please forward
me a copy of the times and location of your meeting. Myself, Quality
of Life Officer Joseph Joia and Crime Prevention Officer John Favaloro
will continue to, or start to, attend your meetings.

An information Bulletin board will be displayed in the lobby of the
police station. If you have any community event information that you
would like to be placed on the bulletin board please email, mail or
call me with the information. Again I look forward with meeting with
you again, at your neighborhood meetings.
