Transfer change

For those of you that are unaware of the Command change in the Second
District , effective June 25, 2010, Captain Darryl Albert has assumed
command of the Second District. Captain Albert is a highly effective
veteran of the police department, having served in the Second District
as the Integrity Control Lieutenant and as the District Investigative
Commander. His last assignment was as the commander of the Special
Operations Division.

I have been assigned command of the Intelligence, Narcotics, and Vice
Divisions. It is a tremendous opportunity for me personally and
professionally. It is a new challenge that I am looking forward to
with anticipation.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your
tremendous support while I was Commander of the Second District. We
led the city for two years in crime reduction and are again leading
the city in crime reduction. This was accomplished by the dedicated
and hard work of the men and women of the Second District, but we
would never have been this successful without the assistance and
support of the citizens of the Second District. Thank you again for
your support.
