2nd District Email Blast Armed Robbery at Baronne and Dufossat Streets.

On May 21, 2010 at approximately 7:25 pm the victim who is a cab
driver picked up a pedestrian in the 1300 block of Sixth Street. Once
in the cab, the suspect advised the victim to take him to a location
in the Second District. While driving to that location the suspect
advised the driver to stop in the 5100 block of Baronne. After the cab
stopped the suspect produced a small blue steel revolver and demanded
the victims’ money. The victim complied and was then ordered to trade
places in the cab with the suspect. The victim was driven to the
intersection of Washington and Lasalle where the suspect got out the
cab and fled the scene.



The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 30 years old, slim
build, last seen wearing a sleeveless white t-shirt. He was armed with
a small blue steel revolver.
