You’re invited to be part of an art action about Climate Change entitled, “What kind of world will we leave our youth?” The idea is to show that a large and diverse group of people in Flagstaff and at NAU care.
The plan is to place approximately 360 (36 inch by 53 inch, black and white) selfies of students, faculty, staff, and community members on the sidewalks outside the entrance of the DuBois Center (pending permission during this year’s Climate Change Teach-in which is slated to take place on March 29. This patchwork of large photos grouped together will make an impactful sight. We will also hang a banner with the words “What kind of world will we leave our youth?” near the front of the Center. The posters will remain until they start to decay and not look good at which point we’ll remove them. Their duration will vary depending on weather, but we’re estimating that they will be in place for approximately two weeks.
You can see other examples of other Inside/Out projects involving pasting large format photographs (all over the world) here: https://www.insideoutproject.net/en/
Here is your part! 3 easy steps!
Also, please spread the word to help us recruit and gather more photos!
Our deadline for accepting photos is March 2.
Later we’ll invite you and 359 of your closest friends to the group pasting on March 28th and 29th! Please let me know if you have questions. We really need a BIG turn-out ASAP for this group art action. Can we do this? Let’s do this! Thank you very much for your support!
Best,
