December and I thought it went rather well, so if you fancy doing it again
this month, here are the dates and times....

Hi All
We have the two "session" evenings coming up before the end of January -
and here is the info!
1. The Sing-around session at the East Street Cafe (underneath the Accents
on the Park Backpackers)(no cost)
Thursday January 19 - new start time will be 8pm (to accommodate the
cafe
dining guests beforehand) and we will run til 10pm
The protocol is that each person does one song (or poem) as we go
round
the circle and whether you get more than one chance depends on the size
of the circle. This was just lovely in December with about 20 people
present. You are welcome to be there just to listen if you prefer and
if
you want to sing but have not got an accompanist - either Anna or
Pete
are likely to be able to do that.
The East Street Cafe is serving very nice, light vegetarian food
(includes a vegetarian burger, vege stack, nachos etc)and it is a good
place to have food before the session if you want to.
Prices are mostly in the teens. There is also a bar with alcoholic
drinks
and coffee/tea etc Very cute spot to know about.
2. The Singing Session (Join-in) at the Prince Albert Hotel will be on
Sunday January 29 - 7pm start - 9pm (no cost)
We have a new bunch of song words and it is all a bit of a lark.
Please
feel free to tell anyone about this session who may be keen to sing but
does not want to be in a choir and just wants to have fun joining in.
