Ahoy Laser Racers,
The snow has melted off #162038 on the side of my garage, so I guess it's time for racing.  First up is the May Madness Regatta down in Wakefield Mass on Sat May 10th, the very next day is the first tune up race @ American YC down in Newburyport.  Please let me know if you are interested in either of these races.  I am planning on going and they are always a lot of fun.

More importantly for our own group is the first Wed PSA race at Rye Harbor @ 6pm May 21st.  A schedule for this series is on the PSA website:

Please try and send a measly $30 to PSA (registration also found on the PSA website), we are try to get PSA to supply a committee boat for one race a month if we pay.  They are also interested in us volunteering for race committee for a few of their Tues night PHRF races...no big deal.

Also, even more importantly, is the Spring Seacoast Laser Regatta May 24 @ Great Bay YC in Dover.  Tom Brown will be doing RC, I will be bringing a keg, and the beautiful people of GBYC (June, Tim, Jack, Wally, ect. ect.) will be running it, and more importantly, cooking food on the grill!  You never know, this fall at the Fall Seacoast Open Regatta something truly amazing happen.....Peter didn't win!....So hopefully Peter will be back for this one, to put the Galaxy back in order....Just kidding you Pete.

Attached is the NOR for the Spring Seacoast Open.

If you have any questions please email or call me 603 430-8600 ext355.
Smooth Sailin' and see you on the water,
Ken Jennings #162038

Hi everyone -- can you share the message below with anyone you think might be interested...we have started a new public sailing facility in Salem, MA and we are looking for people to participate in some Laser sailing. We hope to host an event in the fall at which we would enjoy seeing the seacoast gang. (I have already sent this to Sally Sharp and the fleet in Newport, RI)

Thanks for your help

Sail Salem Laser Fleet

Sail Salem, the North Shore’s newest community sailing program, is looking for active Laser sailors to join the organization and sail out of its facility at Winter Island in Salem, Mass. The fleet has built a new storage area for 12 boats, and intends to organize a low-key and friendly racing program on Salem Sound in collaboration with other fleets in the area.

Any sailors in Salem and nearby areas of the North Shore are welcome to join Sail Salem. Your membership helps support the emerging fleet as well as Sail Salem’s junior sailing program that is providing learn-to-sail instruction for city children for just $1.

This year the Laser fleet intends to organize evening and weekend sailing, as well as a series of weekend races in the fall.
