when I beat Ed Adams in 1 race in a Laser fleet of 28 sailors.  Yes it was only 1 race out of 6 but I'll take it.  As Peter Follansbee would always reply when I asked him how he did so well, he always replied:" I was lucky" and that's my reply for that rare because as the scores show, it didn't happen again but I'll take it.  In the 5 other races, I finished where I deserved to.   What was the best part of the day?  I didn't capsize.

Now is this when I must remind myself that "pride goeth before the fall" ?

Congratulations Stephen! A win is a win; your hard work is paying off. Glad the parades were able to be organized on such short notice. The fervour of your win must have driven the organizers.

Stephen,

Happy New Year. I actually saw the results and was going to send you a congratulations that's fantastic!

I'm hoping to get down to Newport a lot this winter, but haven't been able to yet. I checked the website to see status but I'll get there myself soon.
